  • Thank you for the opportunity to serve the York Central School District community as the School Social Worker since August 2005. I consider it an honor and privilege to be here.

School social workers are the link between home, school and the community.  The goal is to promote students' academic, emotional and social success by providing services that might include: assessment, individual and/or group counseling, information and referral, crisis intervention, home visits, advocacy for students, parents and the school system. Our objective is to help students become successful learners at school and at home.

Should you need social work services please do not hesitate to drop by my office and visit.  My office is located in the high school, room 116.  If you would like to schedule an appointment, simply contact me by phone (243-1730, ext. 2115), send me an e-mail (snevinger@yorkcsd.org), or come by in person.

Please take some time to browse through my website for information regarding community resources for children and families, as well as links to valuable web pages.
