History
As a result of the budgetary cuts over the past several years, monetary resources to support programs have become strained often leading to the cutting of programs which are above and beyond the basic needs of the school and classroom. These cuts are often in areas which supplement education and give students additional learning opportunities. The YCS Education Foundation would look to support these additional opportunities that have been lost.
Who Are We
The YCS Education Foundation is an independent, community based, non-profit organization. This organization is dedicated to raising and providing needed funding to York Central School for classroom based projects and creative initiatives which will enhance our children’s education.
The Foundation was established in 2014 and is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees who operate independently of the school.
The Foundation’s Board of Trustees is comprised of 6 members of the community/alumni and one YCS senior.

We have applied for Federal and NYS tax exempt status and anticipate receiving approval in the Spring of 2015
Our Goal
To raise money annually for distribution to classrooms at York Central School. All gifts to the Foundation will be used directly to fund competitive educational grants and other curriculum directed initiatives applied for by classroom teachers K—12.
